Research, a lever for outreach

The Mutations & Agilities Lab (M&A Lab) is an essential component of IMSG research. Based on the principle of applicable action research, its aim is "to prepare managers to become agents of strategic change in the face of economic, societal and behavioral mutations, to become Metagiles".

Prof. Richard Delaye-Habermacher Academic Dean

"As Director of the 'Mutations et Agilités' Laboratory, I'm convinced that action research is a guarantee of quality in teaching. Indeed, this practical approach enables us to maintain constant contact with the field and optimize our programs according to the needs of organizations. What's more, it gives us the opportunity to make a concrete contribution to the development of our society, particularly in a context of fragility."

IMSG management has set 3 objectives for the M&A Lab:

1 - Teaching

+

The Doctorate in Business Administration program brings together some thirty professional researchers who play an active role in the IMSG's academic activities, by supervising dissertations, hosting them in their companies, writing case studies, sitting on dissertation defense juries and teaching in connection with their research work.

These have led to the creation and roll-out of specialized programs in cybersecurity, responsible finance, agile human resources, digital marketing and artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship for BBA and MBA students, under the guidance of DBA teacher-researchers who bring a wealth of interdisciplinary expertise to bear on the issues of Change and Agility in the various themes.

2 - Scientific production

+

Through their work, the various players in the laboratory actively contribute to the modeling of Manager Metagile.

Regular publication of research results in scientific journals, collective works or on digital platforms such as Forbes and LinkedIn is encouraged by the Laboratory's management.

A research-action project, led by Dr Arnaud Vallin of the IMSG, has resulted from this work. It aims to map the skills that are essential to improving young people's employability, and has led to the development of a Metagiles skills repository.
This repository, in partnership with Eduxim, now serves as the basis for the assessment of all IMSG students.

3 - Radiation

+

The organization of annual conferences and research days is the cornerstone of the M&A Lab's outreach. The latter is reinforced by participation in scientific events, which we strongly recommend. These actions are undeniable vectors of outreach.

By enriching the academic network of the M&A Lab, and consequently of the IMSG, partnerships with foreign universities and their chairs contribute to this same objective. The agreement with the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) focuses on teaching and student exchanges, enriching the academic and cultural perspectives of participants.

Involving DBA graduates strengthens the professional network, a crucial support for students' employability and integration.
